Father’s Day

Today is the big one.

In just a few hours, I’ll be meeting my natural father for the first time. You may recall the story.

The next week is going to be a very interesting one, as two directly related strangers attempt to bridge an unbridgeable 41 year chasm. We’ll play it by ear see how far we get.

Their flight lands at 12:15 and Sarah and I will be at Schiphol to pick them up.

I started reading you blog because of the bakfietsen related posts, but I wanted to comment to say that I hope this goes well. I made contact with my brother for the first time when I was in my thirties, and its in interesting experience. Of course, I’ve not seen my Dad for 20 years, but that’s a whole different kettle of fish.

    Best wishes.
