I bet the lack of interest is due to the fact that a WebMail isn’t all that interesting to the hardcore geeks most of whom run their own mail servers anyway. When you have a 250G RAID array and IMAP access why in the world would you use a web browser and a 1G limit to handle your email?
The only reason I wouldn’t mind an account would be to simply reserve the rasmus login id on gmail if it isn’t already taken.
