• If you've since moved on to a PC, but can't help feeling sentimental about CP/M, you can relive the good old days with MyZ80, the world's finest Z80\CP/M emulator for DOS (compatible) machines. This program is shareware. If you like what you see, you are required to register for a modest fee. In return, you'll receive the latest version plus technical support.

• If you're using v1.20 or later of MyZ80, you can download my QTERM overlay. This will allow you to run QTERM under MyZ80, so that you can continue to use those complicated scripts you wrote all those years ago. You will also need ZSM & ZPATCH in order to apply the patch.

• The cpmtools package allows you to create, check, read and write CP/M file systems. Besides the regular user commands, there is a (read-only) file system editor. All features of CP/M file systems are supported, including the PCW's CF2 and CF2DD formats.

  Please note that this package is provided as source code for UNIX systems. You will need to modify the Makefile and compile the software for your system.

• If you need true PCW emulation, then get hold of Joyce, the 8000 series emulator for DOS (compatible) machines. Joyce has many advantages over MyZ80, not least of which the fact that it will run almost anything, including LocoScript, Protext and many games. It's also happens to be freeware, so what are you waiting for?

  If compiling all of that isn't your cup of tea, you can also get a binary distribution of version 1.36. This was compiled on a Red Hat 7 system.
